Thanks. Loved that player rundown. Heavy and Swoope were my next-door neighbors in Snyder Hall freshman year (Fall '84.) Wish I had graduated high school early to enjoy that '83 season on campus!
that's great...remember a Moeller recruit who stayed/played for White saying, 'don't know who was crazier the players White brought in or the assistant coaches White had working for him......every day something new with all those guys'.....always remember Ohio State never complained to the Big Ten offices about what was going on at Illinois White era...all Bo and his 'boy' Bobby Knight making noises cause Bo pissed Stoner fired Moeller.
Great stuff, Jeff! I can't wait for the reunion on 9/2! '83 was an incredible year and, I know I've said this before, it was fabulous I happened to be in the Marching Illini, watching all of it from a front row seat! And that season is a huge reason I've (along with my wife, whom I met in the MI, and about 10 of us who all marched in the Rose Bowl) still have season tickets.

I remember Moe Bias driving his car around campus. Seemed like a low-rider at the time. How I knew it was him? MOEBIAS on his California plates.

I do recall seeing that car on campus! Great memory!
